Setting up the turbo unit is pretty straight forward. Once in your wheel, the tough looking replacement BKool quick release ensures secure fit into the turbo via two adjustable clamping ‘bolts’ and your bike is then locked in place via a quick release handle, which is very easy to use, so mounting or dismounting the bike shouldn’t be too much of an issue if you are in a hurry.

 

The turbo itself is an electro-magnetic resistance unit and so needs to be plugged in to work properly. It is a reassuringly chunky unit and provides a rigid base once the bike is attached. The design relies on rider weight to keep the wheel in contact with the roller, which in
