So, down to the details on the bike. It’s still a prototype for the final made-up frame, as the geometry has a little lower B/B, and with a shorter rear end than normal. We have also gone with a external headset for 3 reasons: its lighter than an internal headset, it can be replaced after a lot of hammering, and we can use a Canecreek Angleset if needed to try different headset geometries… and was forgetting a 4th: chris king headsets!

After some talking with Vidal he built it with a tube set that is mostly Deda Road Alloy; the downtube is Deda Force mtb a little thicker gauge to better withstand the constant bashing from gravel flung from the front wheel. He preferrs 30g more than broken/bashed tubes.

The chainstays are a little shorter than the final production (415mm vs 421mm) and the bottom bracket drop is 75mm, roughly the same as an Argon18. The toptube is 54.2cm and the b/b-top measures 50cm. The seat angle is 73.5º and the head angle is 73º.
