The cable routing is classic road bike, as it’s not getting carried, and the cables are sealed enough to not get a lot of crud.

As for the ride qualities: its darn stiff, climbs like a goat, and feels just like riding a road bike off-road, i.e. point and go when you’re doing 60km/h over gravel. The downside is that the mud clearance isn’t great, but I have the X-Crow for that.

As for components: I have some Swiss Side Franc wheels, well recommended. They haven’t gone out of true and are lighter than the Mavics Ksyriums that I use on the X-Crow.
