Remerx Master Disc Wheelset

Given the weight penalty of the wheelset and the rolling resistance in the hubs these wheels would be ideal ‘training wheels only’, saving your more expensive wheels for race day and to keep those precious hubs out of the paste as much as possible. At least that is my recommendation. As a set of wheels for mucking about on and for training they’re perfect. Not the cheapest by any means but cheap enough not to worry too much about and serviceable with easily available parts – why take the expensive tubs out when the Remerx Master Disc wheelset is easily affordable for the joys of training.

After three solid months of use these wheels are still looking good and going strong. The fact that they are still in one piece after the abuse they have taken is testament to the strength of the build and the quality of the component parts used. The only thing that needs attention is the rim tape that seems to have perished in the icy cold, muddy conditions that I have been riding in.

In conclusion they’re alright these wheels, though I reckon £20 off retail would make them even more alright for a budget set of off-the-shelf, disc specific training wheels for either cyclocross or winter road use.
