Remerx Alcyon Wheels Review

Plus at just £285 per pair, the Remerx Alcyon wheels are a bit of a bargain. Obviously this depends on whether you want aluminium spokes, but if you are keen and like the ride qualities of Mavic’s Ksyrium, you will not be disappointed with the Remerx Alcyon.

So what would I go for, red/black or white? Well my head says it has to be the red and black, as they are lighter and better finished, but to hell with it, my heart says go white; after all they do look very special on the bike!

The aluminium spokes have a small hook in them which fits into a notch in the hub to stop the spoke twisting when being tightened at the rim

The thick aluminium spokes screw straight into an equally large diameter alloy nipple at the rim
