BBB Cycling has unveiled the Karma MIPS, a new flagship road helmet designed for riders who prioritise low weight, high airflow and modern rotational‑impact protection. As the Dutch brand’s lightest and most breathable helmet to date, the Karma MIPS targets climbers, endurance riders and anyone who spends long hours in the saddle on warm days.
Ventilation designed for real‑world riding
The Karma MIPS uses 25 external vents paired with internal airflow channels to keep air moving at both high and low speeds. BBB Cycling says the design maintains consistent cooling whether you’re grinding up a slow alpine climb or pushing tempo on a hot summer ride.
At a claimed 260g (size medium), the helmet is in the lightweight performance category, making it appealing for riders who count grams on long ascents.
Karma MIPS Air Node: protection without the bulk
The helmet features MIPS Air Node, the lightest version of the Multi‑directional Impact Protection System. Instead of a separate slip‑plane layer, the system is integrated directly into the padding. Updated Omega fit system
BBB Cycling’s revised Omega fit system suspends the shell slightly above the rider’s head, improving airflow while allowing precise, one‑handed adjustment via a rear ratchet dial. The design aims to balance stability, comfort and ventilation; a combination that matters on long, hot rides.
