ROUVY Updates

ROUVY launches interactive segments and adds Pro training-camp routes in latest update.

ROUVY the indoor cycling platform has announced a series of updates ahead of the winter training season. What is the indoor training season? It’s when northern hemisphere riders look out the window at the rain and dark and turn to the turbo trainer. In an attempt to keep non-cyclocross riders motivated, Rouvy have added interactive timed segments, expanded route offerings and greater in-app customisation.

From 20 October, riders will be able to compete over predefined segments such as climbs, rolling sections and sprints. Each segment features real-time competition against avatars representing friends, past performances and current leaders, adding a gamified element to training sessions.

The update also expands ROUVY’s route library. New additions include popular European training camp destinations like Calpe, Andorra and Girona, as well as routes from Bolivia, Sri Lanka and Tajikistan. A five-week Alpine climbing challenge, led by former British hill climb champion Andrew Feather, will spotlight Dolomite passes including Passo Pordoi and Passo Sella.

ROUVY update allow switchable ERG mode during workout

In addition, the platform has introduced enhanced personalisation options. Users can now customise their avatars and equipment more extensively and toggle ERG Mode on and off during workouts for greater control.

ROUVY said the changes are designed to make indoor training more immersive, social and adaptable as it continues to expand its global cycling network. So if the approach of winter normally sees you hanging up your wheels, try ROUVY. Subscriptions start at £13.33 per month, which you can cancel anytime. You can also get a free seven-day trial to see if ROUVY is for you.

I've riding and racing bikes since I was 12, which was a long time ago now! From the days of steel, wool and toe-clips, to carbon-fibre, lycra and clip-less, it's been an adventure on and off road, with a bit of track and touring as well. There's nothing that can't be made better with a bike ride!
