Lupine Piko TL MiniMax Review
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Lupine Piko TL MiniMaxi is a beautifully constructed, high-end and high-priced piece of kit. Whilst I have certain reservations about the mounting system, these can be overcome by setting the beam angle and not attempting to re-position it whilst on the move. For its size, the quality and output is exceptional.
As a tool to facilitate winter-long training it performed just as I had hoped. However, there are plenty of very bright lights out on the market right now. What separates the Lupine Piko TL MiniMaxi from the competition, hefty price tag aside, is the user experience. From the soft click single operation button, simple programmable settings to suit every need, and attention to detail you are left with a product that not only performs exceptionally well, but that you actually want to pick up, look over and use.
Without mentioning names I have been through two very bright lights in the last 3 years. Neither lasted as long as I would expect and were sent back having failed suddenly. The Lupine Piko TL Minimax is designed and built to last. So bring on this winter and that deer I managed to avoid last time in Richmond Park…
