AIRBANK POCKET 2 Pro, “another e-pump”, I hear you ask? Well, yes it is another e-pump, but that’s no bad thing. Competition will hopefully drive innovation and improve quality; the more there are, the better they’ll get!

Of course no-one is saying you must absolutely have one, but once you do… I tried my first e-pump last year and am now hooked. They’re effortless to use, fit in a jersey pocket and are rechargeable. So no more manic pumping, wondering if you have enough pressure yet. They generally have on-board pressure gauges; very useful for off-roaders who might be changing pressures on a sighting lap. If you’re in a rush – mid-race puncture maybe? – they are quick. Not as fast as a CO2 cannister, but there’s no waste to get rid of after either.
