So if you are sold on 11-speed gearing and hydraulic rims brakes, or perhaps are contemplating moving to discs as and when the UCI say ‘yes’, what are the issues, if any?
A Cannondale frame sports the 11-speed cassette. Count ’em…
One factor that we have been discussing at length here, is that road bikes have the benefit of being relatively simple. We do ride mountain bikes that have disc brakes and full suspension but we do not fiddle with those parts of them too much. If we did, we know it would be much more difficult than the fettling we do with our road bikes.
