The Santini Bcool MIG bib shorts are very minimalist and packed with technology. The material has a slightly compressive effect to combat muscle fatigue, resists harmful UV rays and the sections of carbon fabric are thermo-regulating. The shorts are aero and are designed to act as a second skin over your thighs. A breathable, gel chamois finishes off the shorts. They retail for £139.99 but you get a lot for the money.
This next piece is a nice little documentary about Santini, presented by the members of the Santini family that actually run the business. In it Dad Pietro even drags his daughters out on their bikes… Best quote has to be “Cycling is something in the middle between sport and fashion” which due to its open, public nature has always been the case with cycling and surely is more true today than ever.
This cool stop motion video shows the process that Santini go through to produce a cycling jersey.
We tested the excellent IRO Jersey and GIAIRO Shorts last year. Look out for some more Santini reviews soon.
