The BKool offering has to be worked at to get the maximum benefit though. The website has the feel of a work in progress (which don’t?) and, in contrast to the easy to follow instructions on set-up of the hardware in the box, there is a distinct lack of explanation on the site as to how you do certain things. There are videos in Spanish to help you but basically, invest in BKool and you have to be prepared to spend some time playing around, exploring the site to reap the reward.
Let’s just go for a spin
Though intervals are the mainstay of our training, for which the turbo is perfect, its easy to get into the habit of not using the turbo for anything else, but BKool has made us realise that this is a shame. Whilst the turbo is most definitely the best tool for controlling the environment whilst performing intervals, putting the turbo trainer in the ‘intervals only’ bracket can, if you are not in the mood for a hard session, exclude it from many other useful sessions.

constantly growing library of route videos, some of which are, excitingly, stages from the Vuelta and even sections of the odd classic. You don’t need to keep buying CDs or ride the same route
