Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium

Scicon Launches Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium

Scicon Sports has unveiled the Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium, a complete re‑engineering of the eyewear platform that helped propel the brand into the WorldTour spotlight. We wrote about the original Aerobeam titanium model recently, this new release gives us a chance to compare the two.

Since entering the eyewear market in 2020, Scicon has become a familiar sight in the pro peloton, collecting Tour de France victories and a stack of WorldTour wins. The original Aeroshade quickly became one of the defining silhouettes of modern race eyewear. Now, after five years of rider feedback and design iteration, Scicon’s Innovation & Design Center has rebuilt the platform from the ground up.

Titanium Temples, Re‑Engineered from Scratch

The headline upgrade is the move to solid‑rod titanium temples, machined through more than 20 precision steps. Scicon claims this approach delivers controlled flex, long‑term durability, and resistance to deformation, even under extreme temperatures. Compared with stamped or bent metal arms, the new construction is designed to offer a more stable, race‑ready fit.

Optics for Every Condition

The Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium comes with Scicon’s Hi‑Contrast mirrored or photochromic cylindrical lenses, with multiple VLT options for different light conditions. The lenses are laser‑cut for a cleaner finish, resist fingerprints, and use the brand’s Nanotech hydrophobic and oleophobic coating to keep water and grime at bay. Riders needing prescription support can use an internal optical clip integrated directly into the nose pad.

A New Frame, Better Ventilation, More Adjustability

Scicon has also redesigned the front frame with a more squared, modern profile and added micro‑ventilation ports to improve airflow and reduce fogging during hard efforts. The updated Flexifit 2.0 nose pad includes the Horizon Adapt height‑adjustment system, allowing you to fine‑tune the lens position for optimal field of view and stability.

Pricing and Availability

The Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium package includes a hard case (which doubles as a saddle bag), microfiber pouch, and a spare lens where applicable. RRP starts at €220, with availability beginning 15 March 2026 via SciconSports.com and selected retailers.

We’ll be getting a pair in for testing shortly, and we’re keen to see how the titanium chassis and redesigned optics perform out on the road. Expect a full review once we’ve put them through their paces.

I've riding and racing bikes since I was 12, which was a long time ago now! From the days of steel, wool and toe-clips, to carbon-fibre, lycra and clip-less, it's been an adventure on and off road, with a bit of track and touring as well. There's nothing that can't be made better with a bike ride!
