Experience_Alt with the MAAP x QUOC Gran Tourer XC

Forget the Ashes! Instead this latest collaboration between Australia’s MAAP and Britain’s QUOC brings the two sporting rivals together. QUOC and MAAP have a reputation for ‘alternative’ fashion when it comes to cycling. So the dynamic-duo will work together on a series of limited-edition collaborations. First in the series is the MAAP x QUOC Gran Tourer XC shoe

The MAAP x QUOC Gran Tourer XC is a fresh take on QUOC’s flagship off-road performance shoe. The new ‘Fog’ colourway has been designed to compliment MAAP’s Alt_Road™ range of off-road clothing. Other changes include an Alt_Road webbing pull-tab on the heel, a lightweight ribbed TPU tongue that moulds to the rider’s foot and larger ventilation holes.

Weighing just 327g, the shoe collaboration has a stiff carbon composite outsole and TPU tread. There’s also replaceable TPU toe-spikes for when the gravel turns to mud. The body of the shoe is constructed from an abrasion-resistant microfibre with a rubber toe cap.

Other features include padded heel cushioning and a gusseted tongue. Closures are QUOC’s Dual Dial system that allows you to adjust on the fly. Finally, ventilation holes should allow your feet to breathe on those dusty summer rides. These features should all make for a comfortable all-day shoe.

The MAAP x QUOC Gran Tourer XC will be available online from MAAP and QUOC, at MAAP LaB’s and select MAAP and QUOC retailers for £250 / €295 / $330 / $480 AUD
