MAAP Expands Its WorldTour‑Proven Pro Aero Collection

MAAP has expanded its Pro Aero range for 2026, bringing new long‑sleeve jerseys, speedsuits and aero accessories to riders chasing every marginal gain. The Australian brand has been developing the collection alongside WorldTour teams Jayco AlUla and Liv AlUla Jayco, who have been racing in the kit throughout the season.

AARTERO Flyte™ fabric at the core

The updated range continues to use MAAP’s AARTERO Flyte™ fabric. This 20‑micron material was introduced during the brand’s first WorldTour season and has already been ridden to multiple Grand Tour stage wins.

The fabric is designed to balance aerodynamics with heat management. MAAP uses 3D‑ribbed sleeve channels to smooth airflow and delay separation at higher speeds, while the lightweight knit helps regulate temperature during hard efforts.

New Beta Pro Aero Speedsuit

The biggest addition is the Beta Pro Aero Speedsuit, which brings the Flyte™ fabric to a commercially available speedsuit for the first time. MAAP pairs the jersey’s upper with the Pro Bib 2.0 lower, aiming for a second‑skin fit and improved airflow. It comes in three colourways: Stella, Astra and Iolite.

First long‑sleeve Pro Aero jersey

MAAP has also introduced the Beta Pro Aero LS Jersey, the first long‑sleeve option in the collection. The short‑sleeve version remains for riders who want the lightest possible setup, weighing just 100g.

All jerseys and speedsuits use micro‑perforated stretch‑woven fabrics, low‑profile collars and bonded hems, with new race‑inspired colours for 2026.

Aero accessories for marginal gains

Alongside the clothing, MAAP has added several accessories designed to improve aerodynamic performance. These items are already being used by GreenEDGE riders this season.

  • Pro Aero Sock: A hybrid woven‑and‑knitted sock with ribbed channels to improve airflow. A raw‑cut top edge and dual grippers help keep it in place.
Pro Aero socks
  • Pro Aero Overshoe: A smooth‑stretch upper with an aero‑textured leg section. A TPU patch protects against shoe abrasion, while a Kevlar toe panel adds durability.
Pro Aero overshoes
  • Pro Race Aero Mitt: A lightweight mitt with a textured woven back for airflow optimisation. The AX suede palm includes silicone printing for grip, and a silicone cuff keeps the mitt secure.

MAAP’s continued push into performance kit

Since launching in 2014, MAAP has built a reputation for bold designs and technical fabrics. The Pro Aero collection reflects the brand’s focus on performance, with kit developed directly through WorldTour racing.

The expanded range is aimed at riders who want to maximise speed, efficiency and comfort; whether racing, time‑trialling or simply chasing personal bests.

I've riding and racing bikes since I was 12, which was a long time ago now! From the days of steel, wool and toe-clips, to carbon-fibre, lycra and clip-less, it's been an adventure on and off road, with a bit of track and touring as well. There's nothing that can't be made better with a bike ride!
