Canyon Speedmax CF
[two_third]
Like a few other companies, Canyon did a lot of work with aerodynamics expert Simon Smart at the Mercedes Petronas Drag2Zero wind tunnel in the UK. Here they decided on tube shapes that differed from the the standard NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) profiles producing a frame that handled better in crosswinds, was 15% stiffer and 300g lighter than their previous model.
With 5 models starting with the Ultegra equipped, Speedmax CF 8.0 at £3589 and finishing with the top of the range Dura-Ace Di2 equipped, Speedmax CF 9.0 LTD at £7679, the Speedmax could be just the bike you need to post a new PB.
Canyon have fitted the Speedmax CF with aero brakes that are hidden away out of the airflow. They use a centre pull system and are around 60g lighter than a standard rim brake.
The Canyon Speedmax CF is available in 3 different sizes and the front end offers a good amount of customisation. There’s two stem types in three lengths, three types of handlebar and extensions, which can be mounted above or below the bars, plus the extensions come in three different widths and 20 height options and the pads come in three different widths. That’s a lot of options…
