Here’s a quick preview of the Osprey Seral 7, a bike specific lumbar pack. Sitting low on your waist, the Seral 7 is out of the way compared to a normal backpack. Some riders will prefer this, it also means no sweaty back!

The seral is packed with plenty of technical features to make carrying your stuff more pleasant. Features like the ventilated AirScape™ backpanel, designed to aid airflow and provide a comfortable fit.

There’s also a ventilated mesh hipbelt with pockets. Dual compression straps on either side also improve the packs fit and stability while riding.

The Hydraulics Lumbar 1.5L Reservoir, has it’s own sleeve in the pack, leaving plenty of room for your stuff. The reservoir hose loops around the front and is held in place with one of Osprey’s magnetic catches.

There’s a front-panel pocket which provides some organisation, including a scratch-free pocket for electronics or glasses, as well as a mesh pouch with key-clip. Add in a LED light attachment loop and some reflective graphics to help on those late night rides.

We’ll be trying the Seral 7 out on our muddy Sussex trails over the winter, look out for the review. In the meantime check out our previous Osprey reviews, the Transporter 40 and Raven 10
