BBB PostFix Seat-post Clamp
BBB PostFix Seat-post Clamp

The BBB PostFix Seat-post Clamp an extra bit of peace of mind for your bike.
Occasionally you run into a simple solution that all you can think is “I wonder why nobody else thought of this”. One such bit of kit for me is the BBB PostFix seat-post clamp.
It’s an extra clamp that goes on the seat-post, it doesn’t have that much clamping force, just enough to stop your seat-post from disappearing into the depths of your frame if your seat-post clamp does end up not holding your seat-post well enough… or a lightweight binder/bolt decides that its had enough whilst bouncing over cobbles (trust me, it’s not a nice experience).
It also works very well if you travel a lot with your bike and have to remove your seat-post to put it in your bike bag/box, as you always get the correct saddle height. Plus it looks a lot more classy than a bit of tape. Even the Pro’s seem to use them as Lotto’s Ridley Heliums are also usually seen with them.
Weight wise the clamp is 5gr in 27.2mm and 7gr in 31.6mm. It has a 3mm Allen bolt, so worth remembering to check your multi-tool has one if you’re fiddling around whilst on the road. Comes in 27.2mm and 31.6mm sizes. Both sizes are carbon and alloy seat-post compatible. The only downside is that they are only available for round seat-posts, so those with aero seat-posts that seem to slide are still going to have to use grip-tape and other solutions.
