Cervelo Rca

The Rca uses the R series trademark Ultra-Thin seat stays and these have been updated with ‘Smartwall’ technology, which broadly speaking means putting the right amount of material where it is needed and removing it where it isn’t. The bottom of the chainstays have also been rotated 90° to improve aerodynamics.

The frame has Cervelo’s BBright bottom bracket standard, developed to use the space on the left hand side of the BB area to produce a wider, stiffer bottom bracket and chainstays. It uses a 30mm diameter axle, the same as BB30, but gives frame builders an extra 11mm on the non-drive side, which makes the bottom bracket 79mm wide.
