Squirt SEAL Tubeless Tyre Sealant
Squirt SEAL Tubeless Tyre Sealant with BeadBlock
Tubeless tyres have become the go‑to choice for many riders and with them comes the inevitable question: which sealant should you trust? With so many options on the market, choosing the right one can feel like guesswork. Squirt, already well‑known for its drip‑on wax chain lube, has stepped into the sealant arena with Squirt SEAL, a product that promises clean performance, environmental friendliness, and reliable puncture protection.

Having used Squirt’s chain lube for over a year with great results, I was curious to see whether their sealant lived up to the same standard. So I picked up the 1‑litre bottle complete with a separate tube of BeadBlock granules and began a long‑term test across my MTB, gravel, and road bikes.
First Impressions: What’s With the BeadBlock?
When I first spotted the separate tube of granules, I’ll admit I was momentarily baffled. Complimentary sweets? A lip balm? Not quite.
The idea behind packaging the BeadBlock separately is actually quite clever. Many sealants that contain particles suffer from settling. Leave it long enough and everything sinks to the bottom of the bottle over time. By supplying the granules separately in the larger sizes, Squirt ensures you get the correct amount with every application. You can even add extra if you want a more aggressive sealing mix. For smaller bottles, the granules are pre‑mixed, making them more convenient for single‑use top‑ups.
What Squirt SEAL Is Made From
Squirt SEAL is an ammonia‑free latex solution containing:
- Natural microfibres
- BeadBlock granules
- Corrosion inhibitors
This combination is designed to create a reinforced rubber plug capable of sealing punctures caused by objects up to 6mm in diameter. The sealant is rated for use between –20°C and +40°C, making it suitable for year‑round riding in the UK and beyond.

It’s also:
- Environmentally safe
- Easy to clean
- Available in 120ml pouches, 1‑litre bottles, and 5‑litre workshop sizes
How Squirt SEAL Works
Squirt SEAL relies on a three‑part sealing mechanism:
1. Latex Base
The synthetic latex forms the liquid foundation. When a puncture occurs and pressure drops, the latex rapidly coagulates around the hole.
2. Microfibres
If the latex alone doesn’t seal the puncture immediately, the suspended microfibres begin to bridge the gap, helping to plug the opening.
3. BeadBlock Granules
For larger punctures – up to 6mm – the BeadBlock particles step in, creating a reinforced plug that locks everything in place. The result is a permanent seal that aims to keep you rolling without needing to stop.

Squirt SEAL Long‑Term Test
I’ll be running Squirt SEAL across three bikes – mountain, gravel, and road – over the coming months. While I’d love to report back with “no punctures at all,” that’s probably wishful thinking. Instead, I’ll be looking at:
- How quickly it seals real‑world punctures
- How well it prevents air loss over time
- How often it needs topping up
- Whether it dries out or clumps
- How easy it is to clean during tyre changes
If Squirt’s chain lube is anything to go by, expectations are high. Let’s see if their sealant can match it. Stay tuned for the long‑term verdict.
