SLR Racing Replica
SLR Racing Replica; Selle Italia launches new, ultra‑light saddle.
Selle Italia has introduced the new SLR Racing Replica, a flagship addition to its performance saddle line. Making it one of the lightest models the brand has produced. Weighing just 109 grams and built around a carbon‑reinforced architecture, the saddle brings WorldTour‑level technology to everyday riders.

The SLR Racing Replica sits within the updated SLR range launched in 2025. It retains the familiar silhouette that has defined the series while refining its structure for modern racing demands. The most significant change is the Carbon Fiber Skeleton, a co‑injected carbon structure developed with Austrian specialists Fibionic. This internal skeleton allows the shell to be pared down to just 1.5mm without sacrificing stiffness. This contributes to the saddle’s exceptionally low weight and responsive feel.

Selle Italia has also shortened the saddle to 242mm – six millimetres less than the previous version – bringing it closer to the UCI limit, giving it a more compact, race‑focused profile. Using idmatch idmatch Pressure Map, Selle Italia redesigned the padding after discovering that riders place almost no load on the rear section during intense efforts.. As a result, the EVA padding is now minimal and placed only where riders typically apply pressure.

The SLR Racing Replica will be available in two sizes: S3 (130 x 242mm) and L3 (145 x 242mm). Both featuring the brand’s Superflow cut‑out to reduce perineal pressure. A new carbon rail design improves vibration absorption and contributes further to the saddle’s stiffness‑to‑weight ratio.
SLR Racing Replica in the Pro peloton
Alongside the product launch, Selle Italia has confirmed its roster of supported teams for the 2026 season. In the UCI WorldTour, the brand continues its partnerships with Alpecin–Premier Tech and NSN Cycling Team. In the ProTeam ranks, Selle Italia will again support Cofidis, TotalEnergies, Tudor Pro Cycling, Caja Rural–Seguros RGA, Team Flanders–Baloise and Solution Tech Nippo Rali. New for 2026 are collaborations with Modern Adventure Pro Cycling and Unibet Rose Rockets.

Women’s cycling remains a strategic priority for the Asolo‑based company. Next season, Selle Italia will supply saddles to Fenix–Premier Tech in the UCI Women’s WorldTour, as well as Cofidis Women Team and Ma Petite Entreprise in the ProTeam category.

With the SLR Racing Replica and its expanded team partnerships, Selle Italia continues to position itself at the sharp end of performance cycling, offering riders access to the same technology used in the sport’s biggest races.
