Canyon GRIZL:ON, an electric gravel bike with front suspension

The Canyon GRIZL:ON is, apparently, the “latest genre-defining e-gravel bike“. The GRIZL:ON comes in four models: GRIZL:ON CF TRAIL, GRIZL:ON CF 9, GRIZL:ON CF DAILY and the GRIZL:ON CF 7. All Grizl:ON CF models come with RockShox Rudy suspension, DT Swiss wheels, Schwalbe tyres, Canyon HB0064 Ergo AL handlebars, and Fizik Argo Terra X5 saddles. Each model also has the Canyon x Lupine SightStays system plus Lupine Nano SL headlight with on-bar remote.

GRIZL:ON CF TRAIL: This is Canyon’s dream package. it features the premium SRAM Force AXS drivetrain with XO Eagle mullet transmission (42T / 10-52T), paired with Rock Shox Rudy Ultimate XPLR suspension and Rock Shox Reverb AXS XPLR 75 mm dropper post. DT Swiss HGC14000 wheels and Schwalbe G-One Ultrabite 50 mm tyres complete the build. Price: 7,999 EUR.

GRIZL:ON CF 9: Canyon’s lightest build at 15,3 kg, the GRIZL ON CF 9 utilises a SRAM Force AXS XPLR drivetrain (42T, 10-44T) with Rock Shox Rudy Ultimate XPLR suspension. Canyon’s S14 VCLS 2.0 seat post enhances the comfort, complemented by DT Swiss HGC1800 wheels with Schwalbe G-One Bite Evo 45 mm tyres. Price 6,999 EUR

GRIZL:ON CF DAILY: The practical GRIZL:ON CF Daily features Shimano’s gravel-specific GRX drivetrain in a 12-speed build (42T, 10-45T) with DT Swiss HG1800 wheels and Schwalbe G-One Overland 45 mm tyres. The DEFEND FENDER CARRIER come equipped as standard on the practical workhorse GRIZL:ON CF Daily model. Price 5,499 EUR.

GRIZL:ON CF 7: At the entry price point the CF 7 build runs with 11-speed GRX and DT Swiss HG1800 wheels with Schwalbe G-One Bite Evo 45 mm tyres, priced at 4,999 EUR.

Bosch SX motor

The heart of any ebike is the motor and Canyon’s adventure-ready bike uses a Bosch SX drive unit housed in a lightweight carbon frame. The motor weighs 2KG and can deliver 55Nm of torque. The 400 Wh battery can be combined with a 250 Wh Range Extender; an extra battery. This means you can have a potential 650 Wh available, allowing for extended ride times.

The Bosch ConnectModule and Flow App allows you to keep any eye on your motor and your bike. It provides theft protection, smart route navigation, ride stats and fitness progress.
