With the Rio Olympics about to kick off, American brand Smith have collaborated with Brazilian artists Bicicleta Sem Freio, to produce some one-off items.

Last year, I reviewed the Smith Overtake helmet and at the time I had good things to say about it. Now more than a year later, I can say nothing has changed. I love it every bit as much now as I did then. After thousands of miles, I ordered a new set of pads for it, but it’s a piece of kit I never feel like I was wrong about.

Turns out Smith has put together something special for the Olympics, and they’ve actually made the Overtake – as well as some of their other products – even more amazing. They have partnered with Brazilian artists Bicicleta Sem Freio to graphically re­vamp the Overtake road bike helmet, PivLockTM Arena Max interchangeable performance sunglasses, and the Lowdown lifestyle sunglasses with the signature psychedelic and vibrant style of the famed artist collective. It’s a really beautiful collection of great products, but it’s also a limited edition, so you’ll probably want to hurry when it debuts August 6th at smithoptics.com.
