CycleTechReview introduced new wheel marque Hunt Bike Wheels in the Spring and now we’ve got our hands on a set of Hunt Race Season Aero Road wheels for a new bike build.

31 Deep and 24 Wide – HUNT Race Season Aero Wide wheels are designed with a wide 19mm rim bed to create a wider tyre profile

The wheelset has been designed and built using a strong and super-lightweight 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminium rim with a 31mm deep and 24mm wide aero rounded profile (19mm internal) ideal for wider tyres, which offer greater grip and lower rolling resistance.

Spokes are patented straight pull Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement (PSR) XTRA Aero super-light stainless steel, with 20 spokes laced radially up front and 24 laced 2 cross at the back with alloy hex-head nipples. At the centre of the wheel is the forged and CNC’d 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminium alloy hub body fitted with high-grade EZO sealed bearings – designed for smooth rolling and durability and Hunt offer freehub options compatible with all standards.
