Canyon Nerve AL 9.9
The Nerve uses a fourlink rear suspension system with Canyon’s ‘anti-squat kinematics’ system keeping the power down at all times. Fox handle the actual suspension front and rear, and there’s Shimano’s excellent 2 x 10 XT drivetrain matched to Avid Elixir 7 brakes. Crankbrothers Cobalt stem and handlebar provide the steering, whilst Mavic Crossmax ST wheels and Schwalbe Rocket Ron tyres finish off the build.
Now I have to come clean and, whilst I try not to be biased, confess that I am already a big fan of Canyon, the German internet only brand that have steadily been building a name for themselves. I own one of their stand out bikes, last year’s Nerve AM and have found it to be everything and on occasion more, than I had hoped for. In an increasingly competitive market they continue to combine innovation and smart design with that very German trait of attention to detail, with downright excellent value for money.
