3T INTEGRA TEAM Stem
3T INTEGRA TEAM Stem

Preview of the 3T INTEGRA TEAM Stem that will be included in Project ALIZE
The 3T INTEGRA TEAM Stem is a singular piece of alloy, like nothing else I have seen on the market – with a Garmin-ready mount integrated into the stem it provides a unique dashboard and protective mount for those riders who use the Garmin Edge range of GPS device.
The Integra Stem houses and protects Garmin Edge head units “improving security, aerodynamics and appearance… [it] supports the screen at an ideal angle for at-a-glance view of critical performance or navigation data” according to 3T.
The stem is supplied in a single length 110mm with a 10° angle and the clamp is designed to fit 31.8mm bars. The aluminium alloy stem has a shot-peened and black anodised finish with white decals and red detailing.
Collar and cuffs, the 3T INTEGRA TEAM Stem compliments the ERGANOVA TEAM Bars perfectly, but these bold good looks and functionality come at a distinct weight penalty; for all you weight obsessives the stem weighs 235g, almost double the weight of the more classic 3T ARX TEAM stem. There is the option of the INTEGRA LTD stem which is a more respectable 175g but this, of course, comes at a price premium for the carbon version at £259.99.
There’s no doubt that this is an extremely handsome stem and I like the idea of a standard aero faceplate, supplied with the stem as an option, because sometimes it is very nice to go out for a ride completely ‘unplugged’, but does the looks and the functionality fully justify the weight penalty and price? Stay tuned.
