SRAM Force CX Groupset
[two_third]
SRAM Force shifters have carbon brake levers and magnesium shift levers located just behind them.
They share the same DoubleTap action as Red and despite being much more straightforward in construction than either Shimano or Campagnolo, with less moving parts, there’s plenty of technology built into these levers. ‘Zero Loss’ shifting promises immediate front shifting and there’s the very useful reach adjust feature that allows you to customize the distance of the brake and shift levers from the drops depending upon your hand size. Its all good stuff.
The hood shape shouldn’t worry smaller hands as to us the hoods initially felt small but once on the bar you get to fully appreciate the excellent ergonomics which make fit ideal. Its a different feel to both the Shimano and Campagnolo hoods we’ve used before with initial impressions suggesting that they are a bit deeper. Attaching to the bars is very straight forward, which is good as we have been experimenting a lot trying to get the perfect set-up; as with anything there’s a lot of trial and error. We’ll tell you just how much soon…
