We were given the Road Chain Catcher designed for a braze on front mech. You get the tough anodized 6061 T6 aluminum chain catcher itself, a spacer to fit the type of mech hanger you have (be careful to get the correct one) and a selection of bolts to accommodate different hanger thicknesses.

Its easy to fit, and works pretty much as you’d expect, giving you utmost confidence when changing down into the little ring, no matter which end of the cassette you are at.

The whole thing only adds 10 grams to your bike so its here nor there. Although we were given a special edition chain catcher with a gunmetal finish to promote our mate, Roger Hammond’s Madison Genesis Team, they are also available in a variety of anodized colors including black, red, blue, and gold.
