Review of the Northwave Hammer CX cyclo-cross specific shoes

Cyclo-cross specific shoes are all the rage at the moment, so it’s no surprise that Northwave have produced something that is different from a normal mtb shoe.

Northwave have been producing off-road shoes since 1993, when they brought out the Integral. Wanting to get their first off-road shoe noticed, they decided to buck the trend for cycling shoes to be black and produce the Integral in red and yellow, as in one red shoe and one yellow shoe. Subtle it wasn’t, but it did get them noticed.
