Other aims when folding a tub? To pack it down to a convenient size for stowage – and, most importantly, to make a neat-looking bundle.

If you plan to carry the tub under the saddle, you may want to wrap it in a sheet of waterproof fabric in such a way as to keep away grit, which will degrade both the sidewalls and any adhesive layer.
