Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance

The Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance tyre promises to be a great option for varied terrain.

While we all want to ride on those perfect white roads that grace most of the adverts, the reality is often quite different. For most of us in the UK gravel riding encompasses every surface from tarmac to grass, flinty chalk to forest trails. There’s even the odd bit of gravel thrown in. The hunt for a tyre that can handle that mix of surfaces is never-ending. The Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance is the Italian brand’s latest offering to fill this slot.

Vittoria says the new Terreno T50 sits between their Terreno Dry and Mezcal gravel tyres. The Terreno Dry is a fast tyre for dry hard pack, whereas the Mezcal is the beefy all-rounder. Vittoria says the new tyre is “engineered to provide unparalleled speed and capability across various terrains, from hardpack to mixed conditions.

Tyre features

Tread design on the Terreno T50 features a directional siping texture and “cornering lugs for enhanced control and confidence.” This should translate to a tyre that can handle most dry UK conditions; yes, we do get them. The tread compound is made from Vittoria’s Endurance Formulation which contains Graphene, added to improve the tyre’s durability and wet weather performance.

Underneath the tread is the three-ply nylon Endurance Casing, which is “engineered for high adaptability and strength“. The casing is reinforced with extra inserts to protect the sidewall, an area susceptible to cuts. These also add stability to the tyre, helping it track true when cornering and protects the kevlar bead. Layered between the carcass is a puncture protection strip, adding some extra confidence.
