Autumn rides means you need clothing that can cope with all kinds of weather, we take a brief look at the RH+ Shark 2016 Autumn/Winter collection.

New for Autumn/Winter 2016, RH+ presents the Shark Collection. The collection consists of jacket, jersey, bibtights, bibshorts, arm and leg warmers, a cap and gloves. The Collection is another product of the 4 year PowerLogic Lab partnership with Polartec and is tested by Alberto Contador’s Foundation team, which is title sponsored by RH+. The Powerlogic Lab is the RH+ technological development facility. They’ve been developing three main areas with this collection; protection, breathability, and aerodynamics

If you like to ride all year round, then the RH+ Shark collection will keep you going when the weather is less than perfect

The Shark Collection features high-tech fabrics such as Polartec Power Shield Pro and Polartec Wind Pro to offer protection against wind and rain. These fabrics are incredibly breathable so allow for an ergonomic cut and freedom of movement, whilst being as aerodynamic as possible. The jersey and bibshorts are perfect for autumn riding and cyclo-cross, paired with leg and arm warmers for cold morning starts or pre-race warm-ups. The jacket and bibtights will get you through the colder weather, once winter sets in. The RH+ Shark collection should see you through a large part of the year.

The RH+ Shark jacket waterproof, aero, breathable; what’s not to like?

The Shark Jacket has a pre-shaped aero fit. Main fabric: WD Gold, Polartec Power Shield Pro. Side panel fabric: Water repellent WD Silver. The jacket has three rear streamlined pockets as well as a zipped centre pocket for valuables. Full zip with zip garage and reflective detailing.

The RH+ Shark jersey will let you ride hard in the grottiest of conditions

The Shark Jersey has a pre shaped aero fit. Main fabric: WD Gold, Polartec Power Shield Pro. Side and rear panel fabric: Hydrorepellent FD Platinum Dryskin. The jersey has 3 rear streamlined pockets as well as a zipped centre pocket for valuables. Aero sleeve length 31cm. Full zip with zip garage and reflective detailing.

RH+ Shark bibtights, long, warm, waterproof.

The Shark Bibtights have Elastic Interface’s Liege pad with double density for road and off-road. Main fabric: WD Gold Polartec Power Shield Pro. Side panels and bottom: Water repellent WD Silver. 3D breathable mesh back and braces. Ultra stretch and breathable raw end bottom leg. Stretch flat seams and reflective detailing.

Waterproof bibshorts from the RH+ Shark collection

The Shark Bibshorts have Elastic Interface’s Liege pad with double density for road and off-road. Main fabric: WD Gold Polartec Power Shield Pro. Side panels: Water repellent WD Silver. 3D breathable mesh back and braces. GripFit Xlight leg gripper with anti slip inner silicone and ultra flat stretch seams. Reflective detailing on the rear.

Perfect for waiting in the rain for your buddies, the RH+ Shark cap

The Shark Cap has a central panel and visor made from water-repellent WD Silver and AD Gold Lite fabric. Designed to be worn under a helmet or by itself.

Neoprene Shark Neo gloves for those cold, wet winter days

The Shark Neo Glove is made of WD Gold Neoprene Lite fabric with a full grip palm with anti shock insert. Full grip anatomic palm with variable thickness. Anti shock padding carpus insert.

Arm and leg warmers allow you to adapt to changing conditions and are perfect for pre-race warm-ups

The Shark Arm and Leg Warmers have a water repellency that doesn’t fade away with washing. Made from Polartec Wind Pro fabric. Versatile, comfortable and very breathable.

The new Shark collection is the much anticipated follow up to the Speed Collection previewed here. The added features make this the perfect kit to wear now the weather is getting less favourable. RH+ aren’t the first manufacturer to market water-repellent and waterproof clothing so it’ll be interesting to see how this stacks up against the likes of Castelli and Sportful’s ranges, but also whether it’s worth the premium over the DHB Aeron Rain Defence products.
