Highlights of the 2015 London Bike Show
Didn’t make it to the London Bike Show this year? Well here’s what caught my eye this year…
How fat can you go? Surly has long been a champion of fat bikes and its Moonlander Special Ops has room to take 4.8-inch tyres for the ultimate fat experience.
Isla Bikes is catering for the next generation of road champions with its Luath line of bikes that have 24-inch wheels for riders eight years and older and a 700c option for those 11 years onwards.
Gravel racers are this year’s hot ticket and Genesis offers the option of its Croix De Fer in the choice of regular steel or stainless steel. Of course, as fashion dictates both are disc only with Shimano hydraulic stoppers.
Tidy split dropout on Van Nicholas’ Yukon allows a Gates belt drive to be combined with a 14-spee Rolhoff to create what the company describes as the ultimate touring bike.
Kinesis are showing that gravel racers are not just the latest on-trend n+1 bike for the serious cyclist with this example of its Tripster ATR not only outfitted with luggage but obviously ridden hard too.
While Pinarello may be best known for being the bike of choice of Team Sky, but there’s a Dogma for the dirt too. The Dogma XM9.9 borrows the technology used to create the company’s carbon road frames to create an MTB with some unique features.
Proving that there is still a place for traditional steel frames Colnago continues to offer the Master, having first introduced it in the mid’80s.
Got an old set of STIs that you want to use on a cross bike with disc brakes? With Hope’s V2 package you can combine cable levers with hydraulic brakes.
Bargain of the show must surely be the Cervelo P5 Six Dura Ace at 23% off retail, a steal at just £4,299.
