Preview of the new Craft Active Siberian Jacket
The old adage “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing” rings out loud and clear now that the winter is upon us. I reckon the Swedish brand, Craft, know a thing or two about dressing for the weather and we have the Craft Active Bike Siberian Jacket on test to see us through the cold months.
The jacket we have been sent is from the Craft Active range in a striking Amino Yellow, with that garish high visibility appeal, ideal for winter’s low light and dark early morning or evening commutes.
A brushed inner and weather resistant outer offer the rider protection from the elements, whilst the regular fit cut of the material is roomy and comfortable; and there’s a clever ergonomic ‘body mapping’ cut to the arms for comfort in the riding position.
Mid-weight, and suitable for a spread of cold to freezing temperatures, the Siberian Cycling Jacket (it’s in the name) features a large rear pocket, a silicon gripper finished hem and a full front zip. Reflective piping along the full length of the spine, across the chest, and along the single rear zip pocket provides additional visibility in gloomy and dark conditions.
The jacket also sports a high neck and a dropped rear hem for additional winter weather protection, and is also available in black.
Winter Hat/ Thermal Shaped Hat
We also have a Winter thermal shaped hat in for test. Not necessarily cycling specific, but functional enough to fit under a helmet. The hat is made from Light stretch fabric with wind protective fabric in front, brushed fabric inside to regulate temperature, which is soft to skin and an ergonomic shape to protect your ears.
We’ll be giving both the rigorous test treatment to see how they fare. Look out for a full and in-depth review soon.
All good things come with a video these days, so here’s a lady talking about the Craft AB Siberian Jacket.
