Stuffing a waterproof into your jersey pocket can be a bit of a faff, unless it’s as small as the Tenn Crystalline jacket.

We have one of Tenn’s Crystalline jackets, just in time for those long, mince pie burning rides in less than ideal conditions. Tenn are one of East Sussex’s little secrets, producing great kit for cycling and triathlon, at prices that are amazing.

According to Tenn, the Crystalline is a high performance, lightweight rain jacket. It’s manufactured from a waterproof, breathable polyester and TPU; that’s Thermoplastic polyurethane in case you were wondering – I was!

The Crystalline is a very lightweight, clear race jacket that packs down very small. It comes with it’s own pack away sack, but if you’re like me, that will soon be used for holding cash, cards and a phone, while the jacket is stuffed into a spare jersey pocket.

Tenn claim a 10k waterproof rating, which means it will resist 10,000mm of water over a 24 hour period before getting wet. Combined with taped seams, this should be perfect for those days when the weather can’t quite make up it’s mind what to do.

The Crsytalline has mesh armpits to help with breathability and a front pocket for mobile phone, cash or a mid ride snack!

I’ll be putting the Crystalline to the test over the coming, wet months. Hopefully I’ll still be dry.
