Gallery of beautiful bicycles from Bespoked, the UK Handmade Bicycle Show

 

The organisers of Bespoked ask, “Do you know who made your bicycle?” and it’s a good point. In years gone by we all knew who made our racing bikes; chances are you’d met him beforehand for a fitting. The rise of big brand, mass produced aluminium and then carbon frames changed that, but now cycling fashion has gone full circle and once again the small bespoke frame builders are in the ascendancy – and their bicycles are far more exciting than anything that has gone before…

 

The Bespoked exhibition at the London ‘Olympic’ velodrome was designed to be a celebration of those modern, handmade bicycles, giving potential buyers a chance to meet the people that could make their bicycle dreams come true; and it was not just UK builders, as visitors were treated to international talent from around the world.

 

Of course it’s just as important that those builders, makers and designers have the opportunity to promote their work and highlight their skills to the bicycle buying public.
