March heralds the spring edition of the ashmei Challenge 31.

So the snow is falling and your motivation to get outdoors and get the miles in is probably waning. What you need is a challenge! Handily British performance sportswear brand ashmei have an idea to get you out there, the ashmei Challenge 31.

Challenge 31 is a month-long event that they run twice a year. The idea is for participants to take up one of the Challenge 31 options and if they complete it, they receive a 31% discount on any ashmei clothing. Not a bad incentive as ashmei produce some amazing kit. We are currently reviewing their Bibshorts v.3

So what are the challenges? First up is a run or ride option; run one mile or ride five miles every day in March. The next choice is for runners only, for this you have to run 131 miles (that’s five marathons!) in March. Or you could ride five-hundred and thirty-one miles in March. Why five-hundred and thirty-one miles? Well it’s to honour Reynolds iconic 531 steel tubing. Never heard of it? Ask one of the grizzled old veterans on your next club run, they’ll get all misty eyed and tell you what it was.

So there you go, three simple challenges. ashmei have made them as simple as possible, so anyone can attempt one. To start all you need do is pick a challenge, then join either of the ashmei clubs available on the Strava platform – ashmei Cycle Club or ashmei Run Club. Once you’ve done that head over to the Eventbrite page to complete the process.

Once you’ve completed the challenge 31 of your choice and logged the miles on Strava, you will be sent a unique code to redeem against some sexy ashmei kit, result! And if you do find it a little too cold outdoors, you can even log your miles indoors.
