Zipp are supplying wheels to many of the top cyclocross stars in both Europe and the USA for the 2014-2015 season, along with bars, stems and seatposts.

The Zipp 303 Firecrest Disc-brake wheelset seems to be ideally suited in terms of performance and durability (the rims have won Paris Roubaix after all) and now have greater stopping power thanks to disc braking. This season Zipp Service Course SL bars, stems and seatposts are also being employed by many of the Zipp sponsored pros.

Zdenek Stybar of Omega Pharma – Quick-Step, who’s brief return to ‘cross last season netted a hard-fought but decisive victory in the Elite Men’s World Championship, will be on Zipp Firecrest wheels as per his road team, as will be one of the best known US stars, Jeremy Powers, of Rapha Focus, who will be competing both in the United States and Europe again this season.

Top US women crosser, Elle Anderson of KDL Cycling Team will also be looking for success in Europe, using Zipp wheels and components. “When it comes to wheels, what’s most important to me is to have wheels I can trust 100 percent. This season during my first European cyclocross campaign, I will routinely test my equipment and technical skills in some of the toughest, muddiest conditions,” said Anderson, who will be based in Belgium. “I‘m excited to race Zipp wheels again this cyclocross season because I believe they will be up to the test. In terms of trust, durability and performance, I choose Zipp wheels.”

Zipp partners top US cross teams like Cannondale, prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com, with riders Kaitlin Antonneau, Tim Johnson and Ryan Trebon; Cal-Giant/Specialized with U23 national champ Logan Owen and Yannick Eckmann; K-Edge Felt with Danny Summerhill; and Giant Factory Off-Road Team with Adam Craig.

Zipp see cyclo-cross as a key part of the development process for all their wheels and components, just as the cobblestones of the Spring Classics proved the durability, stability and aerodynamic efficiency of the 303 Firecrest, they are hoping that cross will be the proving ground of the 303 Firecrest Disc-brake wheelset.
